Have met first new BFFs

Spent a splen­did after­noon yes­ter­day in the Cameron High­lands chat­ting pol­i­tics, reli­gion, race, cul­ture, fam­ily etc. with a 20/30-something cou­ple from Berlin via Turkey.  High­light:  He said he some­times googles Obama speeches just for inspi­ra­tion.  Gotta love it!

Rode the 5hr bus together today from the High­lands and they’re now off to a beau­ti­ful island close to Thai­land.  We’re in Penang try­ing to figure-out what the attrac­tion is.  To be continued…

    Thanks Natalie, we are hav­ing a fan­tas­tic time and you’re right though, we prob­a­bly won’t make it to Jakarta while you’re there. Not sure if we’ll get to Jakarta at all or maybe stick to the less urban regions of Indone­sia. Let us know how you like it as all is sub­ject to change.
