My goodness KL is beautiful
Just came back from yet another mall experience. Oh yeah besides eating, another huge cultural pastime is hanging out at the malls. This time it was to go to a lounge showcasing the music of a reggae rude-boy from Senegal (Yan brilliantly uncovered through Timeout KL). This mall was breathtaking. The restaurant choices, designs, furnishings stunning. Never thought any place could surpass NYC in variety and general hanging-out appeal. KL makes NYC look shabby. And the brazen mix of cultures here is almost on par. The economic divide seems more narrow — they’ve got a solid middle class. Can’t help thinking we have to really get with it ’cause things are changing and quickly.
