Re-Entry-Rama
A nip, a tuck and a bit of Botox but we’re still limber and miles away from Upper East Side Chanel. We’ve redesigned, rebranded and in the next few months will be taking on a fresh direction by offering tales of unique, challenging and inventive living.
So stick with us and we’ll trek on together.
We returned to a rude awakening ending our endless summer and immediately embarked upon our holiday go-sees. We proceeded to then whore ourselves up & down from Toronto to Pompano.
Highlights of the return: reuniting with family and friends; meeting a sweet little peanut of a niece; ringin’ in the new year at our starting line, Ulysses; getting to know your FL neighbors and a strict senior’s evening schedule of 7pm Jeopardy, 7:30 Wheel of Fortune, 8pm Olbermann, 9pm Maddow, 10pm Olbermann repeat unless it’s Thursday then Marriage Ref or Friday then Bill Maher, 11pm Jon Stewart, 11:30 Colbert Report or Leno, 12:30am Clap off. Wake up, repeat.
Not a highlight: the “unseasonable weather” was gettin’ real old.
Altogether coming back home has been an emotional mix as can be expected. Like for instance, fretting the possible loss of some gained perspective and insight, working diligently to retain some others, re-establishing a NYC edge, figuring out what in the hell a FL one would be and regulating a topsy-turvy stressed-out discombobulated digestive system.
But it was an incredible journey and worth every single drop of even the pain of Jungle Train.
Nice to see your blog back up!
Wow! A journey from Pompano to Toronto and back! Must have been an adventure. El Cheapo, Piggly Wiggly, Hoa meetings, Soft stuffed dolls of black people and bunnies. This region seems about as quirky as Asia. I guess your Asia time prepared you well for such a strange place. he he
