Sapa II

Our lovely precocious guide let us know that electricity, imported from China, just came to the rice terraces two years ago, which gave the entire Hmong village enough time to set up their Facebook profiles and Tweet away.  No lie.  Also of note, these charming technocrats have a nasty habit of attaching themselves to you at a 3 to 1 ratio as soon as you arrive in this former French hill station town.  They follow, they stalk, they weave hemp bags and will sell you anything on their person for enough Dong.   It gets internet creepy, folks.
